Kevin Crowder is a founding partner of Intelis Capital and a member of its investment committee.
Prior to founding Intelis Capital, Kevin spent approximately 20 years as a private investor.
Between 1995 and 1997, Kevin served as a Vice President of Macromedia, Inc. and as member of its Board of Directors. Kevin achieved these positions after Macromedia, Inc. acquired Altsys Corporation, a company that Kevin founded in 1985.
Altsys developed graphics software for personal computers (including FreeHand and Fontographer). At Altsys, Kevin was the company’s Vice President of Development and established the company’s technical direction serving as its principal software architect and the leader of the development organization.
Kevin began his career in 1976 as a summer intern at Texas Instruments, and during his time at the company advanced to the position of Senior Member of Technical Staff. He played a crucial role in the development of two generations of the proprietary graphic design systems used within TI by integrated circuit designers.
Starting in 1996, Kevin enjoyed pursuing his life-long passion for high performance automobiles by becoming a competent recreational race car driver. Then in 2006 he founded Forza Retail, which operated Ferrari-branded merchandise stores under a license agreement with Ferrari SpA. Kevin exited the business in 2015 when Ferrari made the strategic decision to acquire direct control of its retail network in the United States.
Kevin holds a BS in Computing Science from Texas A&M University and an MS in Mathematical Sciences from The University of Texas At Dallas.
